Mental Health: An Overview – Signs, Symptoms and Protective Strategies
What: EAC Parent Evening
Where: Upstairs in the Library
When: Tuesday, 28 August 2018
6.30pm to 8pm
Mental health is often poorly understood and clouded by stigma. This presentation is intended to discuss the components of mental health and treatment to improve understanding and literacy. This can assist with family cohesiveness, access and understanding the journey or lived experience.
If you’re seeking information on what words like ‘depression’ and ‘anxiety’ mean, what treatment options are used and why or what protective factors you and your family can implement, then this presentation is for you.
Presented by Todd Bagshaw, specialist mental health nurse and Hillbrook parent, the event will be held upstairs in the Library. Please arrive at 6:15pm to meet (tea/coffee/soup will be available) before the presentation starts at 6:30pm.
Please RSVP your attendance by Friday, 24 August here.
