Students are supported in a variety of ways to access the curriculum.
In Years 7 – 10, Enrichment Centre teachers work in partnership with classroom teachers and provide in-class support and individual and small group assistance where needed.
Students in Years 11 and 12 have the opportunity to work with a learning support teacher and receive individual or small group assistance in the Enrichment Centre during their Negotiated Lesson time each week.
The Enrichment Centre is open every lunch hour, on Tuesday afternoon and before school by prior arrangement.
Literacy and Numeracy Enhancement Program (LANE)
Students identified as requiring additional support with literacy and numeracy are offered a place in our Literacy and Numeracy Enhancement Program (LANE).
The LANE program is offered in Years 7 to 9 and operates in addition to the usual Mathematics and English classes. Students are invited to participate in classes which have no more than 12 students and work with teachers to improve their literacy and numeracy skills.
Engaging with a LANE class helps participating students feel more confident when preparing for their Senior years.
