Philosophical Inquiry Teacher Training
Hillbrook offers several opportunities for teachers and schools to learn about why and how we should engage students in Philosophical Inquiry (PI).
Our two-day Introductory Course is offered three times a year here at Hillbrook, in February, March and again in August. This course enables teachers to begin their PI journey with their students. Please click here for current courses on offer.
A three-day Advanced Practice Course is usually offered once a year, in September. Participants need to have previously attended an Introductory Course with us (or elsewhere), and have been teaching PI for at least six months. This course provides: a greater understanding of how and why PI works, how to improve your own practice, and how to put effective curriculum together. Please click here for current courses on offer.

A great balance of theory and practice.
For school groups:
- We are available to come to your school to deliver the two-day Introductory Course to your teachers on site.
- We also offer a follow up service, where we come to your school to observe sessions, provide feedback, help with curriculum development, and anything else you may need.
This training is suitable for teachers of students from kindergarten to senior secondary students.
